The town itself has everything you need ,cafes and grocery stores, a post office, and a pharmacy. If you want to go swimming the nearest pebbly and rocky beaches are about 3 km away easily reachable by bus or a bike. The bus stop is just next to the house. There are plenty of other beaches within 10-15 km. However, staying in Bakar is meant for those people who are not primarily interested in sunbathing but rather in sightseeing, trekking, cycling, peace and quiet and relaxing atmosphere of a small town.
