Makarska is one of the most famous tourist centers in Dalmatia (organized tourism has been developing since the 60s of the last century) and one of the most picturesque towns on the Adriatic, with numerous characteristic narrow streets in the old city center. It is also known for its kilometer-long pebble beaches and its proximity to the Biokovo Nature Park, which offers hiking, various picnic spots, and activities with a beautiful panoramic view of the city, islands, Italy...
