Brijuni Brijuni is an island group off the western coast of Istria, whose most beautiful part was declared a National Park in 1983. They are about 6 km away from Pula, separated by the Fažana Canal, through which a ferry from Brijuni to the Fažana port daily. The Brijuni Zoo is open-air, so animals roam the island freely and there is a safari park. The sports of Brijuni really offer everything: horseback riding, golf, tennis, sailing, wind surfing, renting bikes and boats, scuba diving, and numerous sports fields, playgrounds and gyms are at guests' disposal.
