Paklinski islands (or Pakleni islands) is a group of islands, islets, and rocks located in front of the town of Hvar and the island of Hvar. Paklinski islands are named after the type of pine resin "paklini" used in the past for the construction of wooden ships. On one of the islands, the islet of Jerolim, there is a naturist beach (FKK beach) and a restaurant. Beautiful Ždrilca is a cove with several pebble beaches and hidden places, ideal for enjoying the sea and sun. The traditional excursion destination is Vlaka that in the past served as a Roman country estate. Vlaka has an attractive beach and several bars and restaurants. The most famous excursion site on the islands is Palmižana. Palmižana has a sandy beach which is ideal for families with children because of the shallow sea. You can reach Paklinski islands by regular ferry, excursion boat or taxi boat from the town of Hvar.
