Lim channel (also Lim bay or Lim fjord) is a bay just over 10 kilometers long, located in the western part of Istria, between Rovinj and Vrsar. The channel is sheltered by hills more than 100 meters high. In some parts, the channel is up to 30 meters deep and 60 meters wide. The Lim channel is part of Lim Draga stretching 35 kilometers into the interior of Istria (to Pazin). Near the channel is Romuald's cave where, according to the evidence found, religious ceremonies were held in the 11th century.
