Nature park Telašćica

Due to the unique geomorphological forms and dense forests, Velika Paklenica and Mala Paklenica have been declared a national park in 1949, making Paklenica the second national park in Croatia (after Plitvice lakes). Vransko lake is the largest natural lake in Croatia, located near Pakoštane. Vransko lake is a cryptodepression in karst since the lake surface is 2 meters above the sea level, while the bottom of the lake is 4 meters below the sea level. The lake is connected with the sea by the underground channels so the water in the lake is slightly salted. In 1999, Vransko lake and its surroundings have been declared a nature park. Greeting to the Sun
Another symbol of the city of Zadar is situated next to the Sea organ - the Greeting to the Sun. The Greeting to the Sun has a total diameter of 22 meters and it consists of 300 multilayered glass panels arranged in a circle. The glass panels are at the waterfront level, below which there are photovoltaic solar modules. Lighting elements are installed in the installation that switch on after sunset.
